  • "An alarming insight into the utterly obsessive psyche of world class climbers... Compulsive viewing." - Joe Simpson

    Synopsis
E11 tells the story behind the first ascent of Rhapsody, a route considered to be the hardest tradition rock climb in the world. Told in an offbeat dramadoc style the film attempts to understand what it takes to climb a route of this standard. E11 strives to get inside the head of its first ascentionist, the understated yet quite remarkable Dave MacLeod. Oh yeah, it's also packed full of ankle smashing, gear ripping, monster falls!

For blokes a fascinating and funny insight "though the looking glass".

All Mixed Up - In The Canadian Rockies

    Synopsis
All Mixed Up is a gripping tale of two female climbers from Scotland as they push their limits to see if they have what it takes in the spectacular Canadian Rockies. Tackling some of the steepest and toughest routes in the country, their roller coaster ride of self-questioning and sheer bloody-mindedness dressed up as determination is an inspirational story of success in the hard world of winter mixed climbing.

Fiona Murray, released from her day job in Edinburgh, spends a full winter season in the snow and ice working increasingly difficult routes. In contrast, Flo Babolat is on a flying visit and has just one short week to realise her ambitions. Share in their frustrations and achievements as their efforts culminate in the hardest ascents by a British female.

Also featuring a cute wee dog.

"A fantastic collection of great mixed-climbing films, including 'Cavewoman', 'Fools with Tools' and 'The Game'. You definitely don't have to be a mixed-climbing fan to really enjoy it. You don't even really need to be a climber, either. I'd even show my mum"
    planetFear - Full Review.

    DVD
The All Mixed Up DVD is available through climbing shops and other usual outlets. Copies can also be bought online at Cordee and planetFear. (UK price £18.99)

    Running Time: 38 Minutes

The DVD also features 47 minutes of additional features (short films and extra scenes)

    Fools With Tools

Fools with Tools is a fast flowing climbing film which doesn't take itself too seriously. The film focuses on the efforts of a group of relatively unremarkable but determined climbers from Edinburgh and their attempts to repeat Scott Muir's dry tooling test piece Fast and Furious.

The film follows the fools from their indoor training, past the easier warm up routes, to finally show their attempts on Fast and Furious itself. It combines a self-deprecating sense of humour with genuine human emotion that surfaces when climbers push themselves to their own physical and mental limits.

"Splendid film... a saga of rock lust and training obsession... just the right tone of self-parody and quirkiness"
    - Colin Wells, Climb Magazine.

"a very entertaining film. upbeat soundtrack, very capable editing"
Adrian Berry, Planet Fear - Full Review.

    Running Time: 14:30 Minutes
